Hi! My name is Stephanie Sandoval, and I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at The University of Texas at Dallas after earning my bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Our Lady of the Lake University. My experiences in graduate training, research, and clinical practice have strengthened my passion for helping children find their voice and build confidence through communication.
I have had the opportunity to work with children across a variety of settings, including private practice, university clinics, early intervention programs, and outpatient pediatric therapy. I have experience supporting children with speech sound disorders, language delays, autism spectrum disorder, fluency disorders, and children who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I love using play-based, child-led therapy that is individualized to each child’s unique strengths and interests while partnering closely with families to encourage progress beyond the therapy room.
One of my greatest passions is working with bilingual children and families. As a bilingual clinician fluent in both English and Spanish, I am committed to providing culturally responsive, family-centered care and helping families feel empowered throughout their child’s communication journey. I am also passionate about early language development, autism, and increasing access to high-quality speech and language services for diverse communities.
Throughout my training, I have had the opportunity to practice in Kansas City and Lawrence, Kansas; San Antonio, Texas; Tucson, Arizona; and the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Working with children and families from different backgrounds, cultures, and communities has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. I have loved learning from the unique experiences each family brings and strive to provide compassionate, culturally responsive care that helps every child feel seen, supported, and successful.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, playing pickleball, staying active, and discovering new coffee shops. I feel incredibly grateful to be part of each child’s journey and look forward to celebrating every milestone—big and small—with the families I serve.
I can’t wait to meet you and your family!
