Team Member Bio

Hello! I’m Taylor and I recently joined the Bliss team. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a Minor in Exceptional Education from James Madison University in Virginia and received a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Tech University. During graduate school, I served as a Graduate Assistant, where I gained extensive experience supporting children who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to communicate.

I am passionate about working with children from the preschool years through school age and helping each child develop the communication skills they need to connect, learn, and participate more confidently in their everyday lives. My clinical interests include speech sound disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), receptive and expressive language disorders, social communication disorders, pediatric feeding disorders, and AAC. I especially enjoy working with children with diverse communication needs, including Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech, who utilize AAC systems.

Before joining Bliss, I worked in both a pediatric outpatient clinic and a pediatric hospital, providing individualized speech, language, and feeding services to children ranging from 9-months to 21-years-old. These experiences allowed me to work with children and families with a wide variety of medical diagnoses, developmental differences, and communication needs. I have always enjoyed working in pediatrics and helping children find their voice. It is so rewarding to be able to play a role in a child’s communication journey and work with families and other professionals to help a child reach their fullest potential!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, attending sporting events and concerts, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
