Hi! I’m Nathalia Lopez, a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist and Lead Supervisor at Bliss Speech & Language Center. I’m originally from Venezuela and am fluent in both English and Spanish. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with my bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Texas Woman’s University with my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

I have over six years of experience working with children and families across outpatient clinics, home health, and other pediatric settings. I was drawn to speech-language pathology because communication is such an important part of a child’s ability to connect with the people and world around them. One of the things I value most as an SLP is helping children find ways to communicate that feel meaningful, functional, and authentic to them.

My clinical interests include early language development, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), gestalt language processing and Natural Language Acquisition (NLA), augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), social communication, and pediatric feeding. I have experience working with a variety of AAC systems and particularly enjoy supporting children who communicate in different ways.

My approach to therapy is individualized, neurodiversity-affirming, and centered around meeting each child where they are while building skills that translate into everyday life.

I also believe that some of the most meaningful progress happens when therapists and families work as a team. I enjoy helping parents and caregivers better understand their child’s communication style and providing practical strategies they can use outside of the therapy room. Whether we’re celebrating a new word, a child independently using their AAC device, trying a new food, or simply finding a new way to connect, I love being able to recognize those moments alongside families.
