Team Member Bio

Hi! My name is Viridiana Juarez, but most people call me “Viri”! I am a bilingual Spanish-English speech-language pathologist licensed in the state of Texas. I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley and relocated to Dallas in 2024. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and am currently pursuing my Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology degree at Our Lady of the Lake University.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have worked with both pediatric and adult populations across a variety of clinical settings. My experience began in an ABA clinic as a Registered Behavior Technician, where I worked closely with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and gained a strong foundation in behavior, communication, and individualized support. After becoming a licensed speech-language pathologist, I continued working in private practice and home health. When I relocated to Dallas, I transitioned into early intervention, where I worked closely with young children and their caregivers. This experience strengthened my appreciation for caregiver coaching, family involvement, and incorporating communication strategies into everyday routines in meaningful and functional ways. In addition to my pediatric experience, I have also worked with adults in home health and skilled nursing facility settings, addressing swallowing, cognitive-communication, and language needs. These experiences across the lifespan have reinforced the importance of tailoring therapy to each individual’s functional needs and personal goals.

I have also taken on supervisory and educational roles throughout my career. I have supervised speech-language pathology assistants, graduate clinicians, and clinical fellows, providing guidance and support as they developed their clinical skills and confidence. During my doctoral studies, I have also had the opportunity to teach at the university level. These experiences have further strengthened my interest in mentorship and clinical education while allowing me to continue growing as both a clinician and educator.

As a speech-language pathologist, I value providing therapy that is individualized, practical, and meaningful. I enjoy building connections with both children and adults and making therapy an enjoyable experience for each person. Whether through play, conversation, or engaging activities, I love finding ways to make sessions feel fun while still working toward meaningful and functional goals. I enjoy working collaboratively with patients and families to support functional communication and create positive experiences that extend beyond the therapy setting.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, trying new coffee shops and restaurants, working out, and listening to music!
