Hello! My name is Rachel and I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Harding University, and a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas.
My specialties include working with patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, introducing Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices (AAC), and Gestalt Language Processing. Additionally, I have experience in treating those with articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, stuttering and cluttering, social communication differences, and feeding disorders. I enjoy seeing a variety of ages and clients!
I previously worked in the school setting at the elementary, middle and high school levels for four years. I also have experience working part time in a private practice. I love being a speech-language pathologist because I enjoy finding creative ways to help clients communicate in the ways that are most important to them. The ability to make therapy functional and personal for each client is very rewarding.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, reading, and baking bread and pastries. I have recently started gardening and I also enjoy traveling to National Parks and hiking!
