I’m Jana Chester, and I’ve been with Bliss Speech & Hearing since 2020. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University, and my Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from University of Texas at Dallas, Callier Center for Communication Disorders.
I love working with language development in young children and utilizing play-based therapy, and training parents to incorporate this into everyday life to see progress. I also work in the public school setting and enjoy helping parents navigate the evaluation and Individual Education Program (IEP) process and providing them with the knowledge to be a part of the team-making decisions for their child.
My favorite part of being a Speech-Language Pathologist is helping children find their voice and understanding the power of communication. I am inspired everyday by my colleagues, and I love being able to work collaboratively with other SLPs. In my spare time, you will find me on the tennis court! I love spending time with my adult children and traveling with my husband.
