Team Member Bio

Hi, I’m Alexandria! I was born and raised in Plano, TX,and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Marketing and Music, along with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Texas at Dallas.

I found my way to the speech world through supporting children on the autism spectrum. Working with children on expanding their communication skills for meaningful, functional communication is something I was drawn to, leading me to pursue my degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Throughout my academic and clinical training, I have gained extensive experience working with both children and adults. This includes immersive classroom-based language and social skills therapy for children with learning differences, sensory-based feeding therapy, 1:1 and group therapy. I also had the opportunity to support the aphasia therapy team at Baylor Scott & White – Day Neuro in 1:1 and group therapy. Additionally, I have three years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician implementing naturalistic and assent-based behavioral interventions.
I am passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Gestalt Language Processing, and implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). In an effort to dive deeper into these areas, I have completed specialized coursework, which is detailed below. I am always looking for ways to collaborate with individuals and their families to expand communication abilities for enhanced quality of life, autonomy, and meaningful social connection.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my cats and dog, powerlifting, and crafting!
