Team Member Bio

Hello! I’m Allison and I recently joined the Bliss team in the summer of 2025. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Minor in American Sign Language from the University of Texas at Austin. I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Dallas.

My areas of clinical strength and interest include preschool to school-age children with speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). I also have a clinical interest in utilizing and implementing assistive technology.

Before joining Bliss, I worked at a public elementary school for one year where I delivered engaging individual and group therapy, educated caregivers and teachers, and advocated for my students with designing their Individual Education Programs (IEP). In graduate school, I gained experiences in private practice, private school, and public school settings. Throughout graduate school, I provided behavioral and communicative support using assistive technology as a caregiver for a nonverbal teenager with autism.

My favorite part of being a speech-language pathologist is celebrating the small wins with my clients and their families! I enjoy sharing joy in their progress and watching how the power of communication and language can transform their lives

In my free time, I love going on walks on the Katy Trail with my friends and my dog, Winston, cooking and baking with new recipes, and reading a good book.
