Hello! I’m Megan Bateman, a speech-language pathologist and a proud graduate of Baylor University’s School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Sic ‘Em! I have more than 20 years of experience providing speech/language therapy services to all populations. I enjoy treating everything from children with articulation and language disorders to working with those that have Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down’s Syndrome. I also enjoy helping adults improve their cognitive-communication skills after a stroke or traumatic brain injury.
Throughout my career, I have had a special interest in feeding and swallowing. I am certified in Vital-Stim, McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program, and Beckman Oral Motor. I enjoy treating all ages ranging from early pediatrics to geriatrics, and thrive on building relationships with patients and sharing in their progress as they build confidence in their skills.
I previously worked as the program director of a neuro-transitional living center and developed a groundbreaking transitional living program to provide rehabilitative therapy to post-acute patients as they transition back to their normal lives following brain injuries.
I live in Dallas with my husband, two children and our three dogs. In my spare time I enjoy Pilates, reading, trying new restaurants with my husband, and spending time with our family and dogs.
